Course Details:

Quality Assessment is an ongoing system-wide review process to monitor all phases of testing in the laboratory. This webinar focuses on Quality Assessment of the General and Pre-analytic Systems of the Laboratory.  General Laboratory Systems’ processes affect more than one phase of testing.  Pre-analytic Systems’ processes occur before specimens are analyzed.  Monitoring these processes will help ensure continuous improvement of laboratory practices which in turn leads to higher quality patient care.

This Webinar CEexpress course focuses on:
• Defining which General and Pre-analytic Systems’ processes to monitor and evaluate
• How to develop Quality Assessment techniques from a “process improvement” point-of-view
• Which COLA criteria address Quality Assessment of the General and Pre-analytic Systems

The course links you to an archived version of the webinar slide and audio program, and to available pdf file resources.
