This webinar, about a commonly performed coagulation test, is geared toward nurses, medical assistants, and other testing personnel who do not have formal education in laboratory medicine. It is designed to give you a better understanding of pre-analytical effects on Prothrombin Time/INR testing, the basic theory behind PT/INR testing, and the relevance and importance of the INR result.

Kimberly A. Whiter, MS.Ed, BS MLS(ASCP)cm is originally from Louisiana and began her Medical Laboratory career as a new B.S. CLS graduate in 2004. Her experience includes working in a small hospital laboratory, blood banking in a busy oncology hospital with a high population of sickle cell anemia patients, and performing laboratory tests in an 800+ bed hospital-based / reference lab.
She is currently working full-time as a Medical Laboratory Science Instructor at Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, VA.
