Dr. Daly will review the criteria for Proficiency Testing from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Also to be discussed are common deficiencies seen by Surveyors during inspections. Dr. Daly is a pathologist who currently resides on Marco Island, Florida. Dr. Daly practiced pathology in Durham, North Carolina, specializing in clinical pathology.

Dr. Daly is a New York City native and a graduate of Weill Cornell Medical College in New York. After a residency at Duke University and a tour in the US Navy, Dr. Daly returned to Durham, NC where he practiced both community and academic pathology, retiring in 2009 as Director of Laboratories for the Duke University Health System.

Dr. Daly has had extensive experience managing and advising laboratories of all sizes, from physician office and health clinic laboratories to high volume high complexity laboratories.
