Please note that only Physicians (licensed MDs, DOs, or DPMs) may use 20 CME credits as a means to qualify as a laboratory director for a moderate complexity laboratory. PhDs, PAs, nurses, and nurse practitioners may take these courses for CME credit, but the program will not confer qualification as a laboratory director.

If you are not a physician, you cannot qualify as lab director. Any staff member registering for the Laboratory Training Program under the Laboratory Training category will be offered 20 P.A.C.E. credits.

Program Details:

This package includes the Laboratory Director CME Program PLUS a discounted enrollment for one lab staff member to take the Laboratory Training Program. After purchasing this “PLUS” program, email [email protected] to obtain instructions for getting your staff member enrolled in the Laboratory Training Program. Your testing person or lab manager will benefit from training in operational and regulatory compliance aspects of the laboratory, so get off to a great start as a team, working together to achieve and maintain compliance while ensuring accurate and reliable laboratory testing. The Laboratory Training Program provides 20 P.A.C.E. credits, includes the same content as the LD program you are taking, and provides great tools and resources for use in your lab.

This CME activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the American Board of Medical Specialties areas of patient care, practice-based learning and systems-based practice.

The AAFP has reviewed Laboratory Director CME Program, and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 10/01/2023 to 10/01/2024.
