Overview

These eight courses, which cover laboratory practice and regulatory compliance, are available together as the discounted Laboratory Director CME Program package or individually.

The LabU Lab Director CME Program is designed to meet the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) requirement at 42 CFR 493.1405(b)(1-5) and 42 CFR 493.1443(b)(1-5) as a way to qualify as the director of a moderate or high complexity laboratory. Upon completing our program, you will earn 20 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits that meet CLIA requirements and Quality Systems standards in laboratory practice and director responsibilities. The Lab Director CME Program covers all of the topics required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for the novice laboratory director, combining interactive exercises with self-paced learning activities in a flexible online format.

The courses in this category provide CME credit and are only for individuals that are eligible for CME credit (physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses).  All others, including PhDs, should register for the courses under the Laboratory Training category where the courses are offered for P.A.C.E. credit.
